How ColdTrack calculates storage rent

Rent starts with one calendar-month cycle on the inward date. A new cycle starts on each monthly anniversary, adjusted to the last available day in shorter months. When goods are released, the rent is based on the released quantity, the applicable rate and the number of cycles in storage.

Rent = released bags × rate per bag per cycle × chargeable cycles.

For example, goods received on 20 August and released on 19 September are in one cycle. A release on 20 September starts the second cycle. This is an anniversary-based rule, not a fixed 30-day calculation.

Keep the bill connected to the stock

  • Use the party and lot record to trace a release back to its inward entry.
  • Calculate the charge for the quantity leaving, including a partial release.
  • Review issued invoices and recorded receipts.
  • See paid amounts and outstanding dues before following up.

What about advances and payments?

ColdTrack records party advances and payments alongside the operational accounts. A recorded payment and the remaining balance should be checked against your collection records. The demo uses sample amounts so you can explore the workflow before setup.
